Reminder for Redditch motorists as frosty mornings approach

Redditch Editorial 16th Nov, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

WITH the return of frosty mornings, Redditch motorists are being reminded of the dangers of leaving your vehicle unattended when waiting for the windscreen to clear of morning frost.

To avoid making cars easy pickings for criminals, residents are advised to keep vehicles locked where possible and clear the windscreen last, working your way round the car with a scraper.

Motorists should also note insurance companies will not pay out if your car is stolen whilst it was left unattended with the engine running.

Officers remind car-owners that driving away and not having a clear windscreen is an offence and will massively increase the likelihood of a road traffic collision.
