Coughton Court decks its halls in preparation for Christmas

STAFF at Coughton Court are getting busy decking the halls for the annual nine days of festive merriment where visitors are invited to come and see the National Trust site in all its Christmas splendour.

The Tudor house will be open for Christmas visitors from next Saturday (November 28) until December 6, with weekdays being the time that staff recommend to visit.

Guests will be greeted in the Saloon by a floor to ceiling Christmas tree and can enjoy the site of the house surrounded by handmade decorations, natural foliage and beautifully decorated trees.

During the week local schools and choirs will be singing carols in front of a roaring fire and out in the stableyard the Coach House Shop will be selling a variety of seasonal gifts and treats and locally sourced Christmas lunches, mulled wine and mince pies will be available from the Coughton Kitchen cafe.

Whilst weekends will see traditional festive market lining the stableyard selling a variety of local produce and gifts.

Little ones will be able to meet Father Christmas who will be waiting, in traditional green robes, to receive visitors in his winter sitting room.

Normal admission applies for Christmas at Coughto – for more details visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/coughtoncourt or call 01789 400777.
