STUDENTS at Walkwood Middle School are celebrating sporting success after bringing home the bacon at various sporting events.
The school’s cross country runners’ commitment this year paid off with Walkwood running away with trophies for year seven and eight girls and year eight boys with year seven lads finishing second.
A number of the school’s students will represent Redditch in the county events in February and March next year.
The school’s year eight netball team are also celebrating, having snagged the district netball champions title – after not losing a game in the Redditch League.
With team spirits high, the girls were named district champions with success over St Bedes, Churchill, Ipsley, Woodrush, Birchensale and Ridgeway.
And the year eight boys aren’t being left behind either – their hockey team have also been crowned district champs after not losing a game in the recent Redditch Hockey Tournament.
