LOCAL children are invited to embrace their inner poet this New Year as Beoley’s St Leonard’s annual Snowdrop Weekend draws closer.
As part of the event, youngsters are encouraged to enter a poetry competition which asks for illustrated poems on the much-loved spring flower.
The literary challenge is aimed at children aged between five and seven and eight to 12 with prizes of £10 and £5 on offer for the winner of each age group.
The deadline for entries is February 7.
