RESIDENTS wishing to reinvent themselves should look no further than Toni & Guy salon in Evesham Walk.
The Standard’s Beth Wright enjoyed the special treatment at the beauty hot-spot, emerging after two hours with the perfectly effortless locks of a girl-about-town.
Like many women – and indeed men – I fear some of these well-known ‘upmarket’ salons with their groomed-to-perfection employees may be slightly intimidating.
But I needn’t have worried – as soon as I stepped through the door I was instantly put at ease.
The salon’s stylists were on hand to take my coat, showering me with compliments, whilst Steve Hurley, art director and franchisee, pressed a chilled glass of wine into my hand as I sank into the chair.
The team recommend a classic full head of highlights (£70) and a cut by their top-stylist who has styled the likes of Kate Moss’ famous tresses, (£39).
I was told my hair would be left with a soft, natural and classic feel with more strength and movement.
And they weren’t wrong. After a gorgeously relaxing luxury hot towel wrap and hair spa treatment with Labelm products (£15) by a salon assistant, I couldn’t believe how soft my hair felt – not to mention how utterly relaxed I was.
I usually use a mobile hairdresser and had quite forgotten the sense of indulgence that comes with being truly pampered in a salon.
It’s safe to say I almost can’t wait for my roots to make an appearance so I can book my next visit.
