A SIX-PIECE band will bring the sounds of Ska to Bridley Moor and Batchley Social Club this Spring.

Old Raskals will perform at the charity gig on behalf of The Redditch Association for the Blind on April 9.

The band, who will cover Trojan classic Ska and 2-Tone Ska, are offering their services free of charge in the hope of helping to raise awareness for the local charity and funding a dog training programme to help assist blind residents across the borough.

Guests, who must remember to wear black and white ska clothing, sunglasses and pork pie hats, will enjoy skanking the night away to hits from The Specials, Madness, Bad Manners and The Beat.

Tickets are priced at £4 in advance or £5 on the door and all proceeds will go directly to the charity.

Contact Margaret Williams on 01527 273863, Kenny Morris on 01527 403903 or the Social Club itself on 01527 65243 for tickets.
