Twitter account which sparked concerns over Alex A&E removed

Redditch Editorial 17th Feb, 2016 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

The TWITTER account which caused concerns over the waiting times at the A&E at the Alex has been removed.

The WMidsEmergencyAlerts profile which posted on Monday night (February 15) that patients were waiting for more than six hours to be treated, was deleted this morning (Wednesday) .

Police had warned residents not to be taken in by everything posted on the site as it was not checked and monitored by them and is therefore not an official police account.

The Worcestershire Acute Hospital Trust assured the public the waiting times at the Alex were within the four hour guidelines.
