ONE LUCKY student at Inkberrow First School is grinning from ear to ear after her ‘dazzling’ entry in a Plant Naming competition was selected as the winner.

Ella-Mai Williams was presented with a Clematis on Friday morning (February 12) when her suggestion of ‘Dazzle’ was selected by New Leaf Plants’ managing director, Mr Higginson, as the name for his new species of Clematis.

Every plant sold will see a donation to the Primrose Hospice.

In honour of Ella-Mai’s winning entry, every ‘Dazzle’ Clematis on sale in garden centres across the country, will bear a label reading, “A donation from each plant sold to Primrose Hospice Worcs. Plant named by Ella-Mai Williams, Inberrow First School”.

Mr Higginson also donated a ‘Dazzle’ Clematis along with a gardening fork and trowel to the school.
