TALENT scouts at the town’s Palace Theatre are urging local superstars to step up to the spotlight and compete in this year’s Redditch Has Talent Show.
Judges are looking for between 12 and 16 acts, featuring people over 10 years old, who live within an eight-mile radius of Redditch to appear in the final of the competition, which will be held on June 30.
There is no restriction on the talent and the judges are looking forward to seeing everyone from singers to magicians, acrobats to comedians and jugglers to ventriloquists – if you have a talent the panel wants to see it.
Each act will have a maximum of five minutes to perform and the initial selection needs to only showcase ‘raw’ talent – no specialist equipment is required but should you make it to the final, the Palace will do everything in its power to provide all necessary technical support.
There are four age groups – ten to 13, 13 to 16, 16 to 18 or 19 and over and a winner from each category will be announced on the night of the final and will receive a trophy plus another prize. In addition but every act featured in the show will receive recognition for their appearance.
Auditions will take place in the Palace’s Room Upstairs throughout March and into April however applications must be made to the theatre by March 4.
Everyone who applies will get an audition – you will be notified of your date – and those who are successful will be granted a place in the final.
