HUNDREDS of kind-hearted fund-raisers put their best foot forward this weekend as they descended on Alcester’s Ragley Hall in aid of the Stroke Association.
The charity’s Resolution Run, which was held on Sunday, saw a sea of purple fundraiser complete a 5k, 10k or 15k course which was arranged not only to raise funds but to provide people with the perfect motivation to get fit after Christmas.
Katrin Winstanley, events manager at the Stroke Association, said: “With about 152,000 strokes a year in the UK – that’s around one every three and a half minutes – it is vital that we have people like our Resolution Runners to raise funds and help us conquer stroke.
“We’re extremely grateful to everyone who took part – the money raised will fund vital research and support, as well as help to prevent people from having a stroke.”
