A 69-YEAR-OLD man from Pakistan who had overstayed his visit visa was arrested in Redditch yesterday (Tuesday).
Officers, acting on information received, visited a business in the town at around 7.20am where they ordered the man to report regularly to Immigration Enforcement while his case is examined.
A spokeswoman for the Home Office said the business had carried out the required ‘right to work’ checks on the employee and would face no action.
Following the arrest, officers carried out a house search at a property on Bromsgrove Road.
