RESIDENTS in Redditch, particularly those with disabilities, are being asked about their experiences using local taxis.
A group of borough councillors is keen to consult with local residents, particularly those who are elderly or with disabilities and their carers, about their experiences of travelling by taxi around the town.
It’s part of a review called ‘Improving Disabled People’s Access to Redditch’s Taxi Fleet’ and the goal is to find out whether disabled residents’ needs are being met by the current level of service – or not – in the borough.
As it’s a short review, the group will need people’s opinions by Wednesday, March 23.
Chair of the review, Coun Gay Hopkins, said: “We’d really like to hear from you if you have a view on taxi accessibility in the borough, whether that’s for wheelchair access or anything else. Please get in touch by March 23 so we can include your views in our review.”
If you would like to contribute to the review call 01527 64252 or email [email protected] .
