PUPILS at a Redditch school blasted off on a voyage of discovery when they took part in the Tim Peake Primary Project.
Children in Year 4 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School were joined by Jackie Flaherty from science experts the Ogden Trust, who was on hand to help with a range of investigations which will aid scientists from the European Space Agency.
Their quest was to help find material that will be best suited for use on a space satellite.
Students had to consider whether the material could cope with impacts, could heat up and cool down quickly, was magnetic and a good conductor of electricity.
