REDDITCH’S unique Forge Mill Museum is becoming a popular haunt for the BBC.
Following in the footsteps of Flog It and Great British Railway Journeys with Michael Portillo the latest visitors have been from Antiques Road Trip when top auctioneer and valuer Catherine Southon from the hit TV show dropped in to get chapter and verse on the needle industry.
“She was really charming and absolutely amazed that there were so many processes involved in making a needle – when you see the finished product you just don’t realise what has gone into it,” said museum manager Jo-Ann Gloger.
The museum is open from 11am to 4pm Tuesday to Fridays and from 1pm to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, closed Mondays.
