KEEP up the good work! That’s the message from Alcester police to members of the public who are remaining vigilant following a spate of burglaries in the town.
Residents have been praised by the Safer Neighbourhood Team for being alert to any possible sign of criminal activity.
The result has been a number of ‘suspicious circumstances’ reported to officers which they have been more than happy to check out.
“The public are doing a really good job and we’d rather they did this than they or their neighbours having to deal with the consequences of criminal activity,” said a spokeswoman.
Incidents reported include a suspicious looking van with two occupants spotted in Castle Road at 11.30pm on Saturday, April 2 to leaflet distributors peering through house windows in Weatheroak Road and only delivering to certain properties, also on April 2.
Elsewhere two men, and on the same day, two men were seen hiding in gaps between trees on Winchcombe Road while on Thursday, March 31 two men were seen taking photographs of houses in Springfield Road / Meadow Road.
