KIND-HEARTED children at the town’s St Georges CE First School have donated £200 to help residents of Harry Taylor House brighten up their gardens.
The school’s Nurture Group – Busy Bugs – have been learning about being Good Citizens which has seen the group help out Redditch Library, tidying the children’s area and rearranging books to make sure they were all in the correct places.
Youngsters also organised a food collection within school for the town’s Food Bank and paid the team a visit to find out what goes on behind the scenes.
They also collected 12.5 kilos of rubbish during a litter pick along Stevenson Avenue.
The donation comes after a school disco helped to raise £200 which has been turned into vouchers to help residents at Harry Turner House in Winstone Close get their gardens blooming in time for spring.
