POLICE officers and staff from across Redditch, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster have united over a three-day period to engage with local communities regarding road safety, drug offences and anti-social behaviour.

The operation, known as Operation Mozilla, saw West Mercia Police execute a number of warrants with multiple arrests made and drugs seized.

Over 300 vehicle checks were made, resulting in 14 cars being seized. Officers also took action against motorists driving without insurance or using a mobile telephone while driving and more than 200 local residents within Wythall and Alvechurch received free property marking along with crime prevention advice.

Officers also paid a visit to Ridgeway School and a children’s home to raise awareness to young people about Child Sexual Exploitation. Numerous patrols were conducted around the bus station, Woodrow Centre and Winyates Centre targeting anti social behaviour.
