OFFICERS from Winyates and Matchborough Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) paid a visit to Arrow Valley Lake at the weekend as part of a family fun day competition.

During Saturday’s (April 16) event, PCSO Duggins, PCSO Smith and PC Downes held a crime awareness and property marking session and presented visitors with crime prevention items such as UV pens and ‘We Don’t Buy Crime’ door stickers.

West Mercia Police are forming partnerships with local businesses and communities to join forces against reducing crime.

Officers are aware acquisitive crime, including burglary, robbery and theft, harms our communities as a person’s home and possessions often carry an emotional attachment and when a criminal interferes with this, it can have a long-lasting impact on victims.

‘We Don’t Buy Crime’ demonstrates the commitment to fighting crime by taking an innovative approach to reducing and disrupting the market for stolen goods and protecting your home and possessions by making them less attractive to the would-be criminal.
