TRIBUTES have been paid to a ‘loving father and husband’ from Redditch who sadly died in a serious crash between a lorry and a car in Winyates on Monday morning (April 25).

John Dyer, aged 44 from Winyates East, died after his black Nissan Qashqai was involved in a collision with a white Mercedes lorry on Alders Drive at around 7.55am.

Father to Aiden and Natasha, John was a loving husband to wife Lisa, who he had been with for 26 years after meeting as childhood sweethearts.

The sales rep, who worked in the town, was said to love his job as he enjoyed meeting new people and travelling.

Lisa said her husband was part of a very close family and was ‘always on the go’.

She added: “He loved helping people and was regularly fixing computers, cars, phones and lawnmowers and enjoyed working on his cars and loved his Land Rovers.

“He would help anyone and would never say never – John will be sadly missed by his family and friends and we would like to thank everyone for their kind messages at this difficult time.”

The family has asked that their privacy is respected at this time.

West Mercia Police is continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the collision.

Please contact PC Paul Bosley on 101, quoting incident number 0076S of 25 April 2016.
