ALCESTER and Rural councillor Susan Adams officially took over the chain of office as chair of Stratford District Council on Wednesday from Kinwarton Coun Mike Gittus.
During his time in office Coun Gittus raised a total of £6,184 for his chairman’s charities, Alcester Dementia Café and Stratford Cancer and Eye Hospital £1m Appeal, both of which received £3,092.
Coun Adams (Alcester and Rural) has chosen Stratford Cancer and Eye Hospital £1m Appeal and Life Space, Stratford-upon-Avon, (mentoring young people and helping them to achieve more) as her Chairman’s charities for the year.
