THE KINGFISHER Shopping Centre will be telling tales once again on Saturday, July 2.

The centre has teamed up with Redditch Library to bring their storytelling sessions for youngsters back to the town to promote literacy and encourage children to get reading.

Kinds’ club Mascot Charlie the Monkey will take centre stage to host the event and will explore Roald Dahl as part of the Reading Agency’s annual Summer Read Challenge, the biggest UK programme in libraries for primary school age children.

Katie Broome, marketing manager at Kingfisher Shopping Centre, said: “These sessions have been a real success so far and it’s been wonderful to see how many youngsters taken part in these already.”
