IT WAS all girls to the start line when 1st Astwood Bank Rainbows, the youngest members of Girlguiding, recently took part in a sponsored charity run to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
The 20 girls each completed five laps of the Abbey Stadium athletics track, a total of two kilometres.
The event was organised as part of the Rainbows Get Healthy challenge badge which encourages healthy eating, regular exercise and time for relaxation.
Rainbows assistant leader Fiona Baker said: “We’re all so proud of the girls.
“They raised more than £350 for the British Heart Foundation and earned their challenge badge with flying colours.”
