TWO CARS in Batchley have been damaged less than 24 hours apart triggering a police appeal for help.
On Tuesday (August 16) a black Ford Fiesta had been scratched down the length of the driver’s side between 9am and 4.45pm.
The next day the front windscreen of blue Peugeot 206 was damaged on the drivers side.
PC Richard Field said “These incidents have caused the victim’s some distress and this mindless damage is completely unnecessary. We take all reports of crime seriously and we are currently reviewing CCTV and have stepped up patrols.”
Officers now looking for witnesses and anyone with information is urged to contact them on the non emergency 101 number or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
