GET set for a bonanza of fireworks at Ragley Hall, in Redditch, tonight (Saturday) night.

The Firework Champions event is into its 14th year but is being held at the Alcester venue for the first time.

The evening will see three of the UK’s best firework companies face off against each other with a ten minute firework display choreographed to music.

It is then up to the audience to select their favourite by text, with the winner being announced later in the evening.

One of the teams participating is called ‘G Force Fireworks’, who hail from Evesham. The other two come from Manchester and Wigan.

Hilary Philpott, House Manager at Ragley Hall, said: “We are delighted to host the Fireworks Champions on Saturday. With the stunning backdrop of the magnificent hall, gardens and lake, Ragley Hall provides the perfect setting for watching one of the best firework events in the UK”.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic although food and drink is available at the event and there will also be fairground rides available for children.

Gates open at 5pm and tickets purchased on the night cost £20 for adults and £10 for children but £2 will be saved off both prices if bought in advance.

To book, visit www.fireworkchampions.co.uk or phone 01327 876037.
