THE local health trust is advertising for three new non-executive directors with particular connections to Redditch and/or North Worcestershire.
The advertisement to join the board of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust comes just 24 hours after health chiefs faced an angry and passionate audience at an open meeting in Redditch town hall.
The meeting, called by local MP Karen Lumley, was to raise concerns over the continuing loss of services at the Alexandra Hospital in Woodrow Drive and to hear what the future holds for it.
The advertisement reads: “Applicants should ideally live in Worcestershire although we would also welcome applications from candidates living outside Worcestershire who have family, business or other links to Worcestershire. In particular, we would welcome applications from individuals who have strong connections with Redditch or North Worcestershire.”
The posts come with a salary of £6,157 per annum, with the successful candidates expected to work for the trust two to three times a month plus representing the trust at external events. They would also be expected to be available for events designed to support their development.
Described as ‘exceptional opportunities’ candidates are expect to have experience in one or all of the following:
a) Human resources, including workforce development gained at a strategic level and experience of leading organisational and cultural change to achieve performance and quality improvement within a large complex organisation, ideally gained within the last two years.
2) A strong track record in strategic partnership working across a range of stakeholders.
3) Performance management and service development expertise gained in the public, voluntary, community or charity sectors; bringing experience of strategic planning, finance and risk.
The closing date for applications is October 23, 2016.
