AN army of scarecrow makers descended on a Redditch school last week to create some weird and wonderful straw-folk for the annual festival weekend.
Parents and pupils came to Feckenham CE First School’s playground last Friday (September 30) and between them made scarecrows of every shape and size, ranging from fish and birds to ballerinas.
Headteacher, Mrs Jeanette Little, said: “The Scarecrow Festival is our first community event of the new school year and always so much fun.
“Our families really got into the ‘spirit of the scarecrow’ this year with many entries. Well done to everyone for their fantastic efforts.”
The scarecrows were then entered in the 11th annual Feckenham Scarecrow Festival which took place last weekend.
