REDDITCH woman Louise Village of Foxlydiate Service Station, the Gulf-branded forecourt on Birchfield Road, has been crowned champion at the 2016 SuperStation Awards.
Open to more than 700 forecourts across the UK and recognised one of the most prestigious accolades in petrol retailing, SuperStation reached its climax in true Hollywood style with a traditional Gala Awards Dinner at Chesford Grange in Leamington Spa last Thursday (October 6).
The judges were impressed by Louise’s diligence and willingness to take on responsibility, as well as her ability to handle difficult situations on top of the demands and challenges of the day to day operation and she was named ‘Best Forecourt Assistant’ by category sponsors Key Points.
Following her victory, Louise said: “It feels brilliant to be in a room full of finalists and know that I have won this award.
“I’ve worked at the site for four years and enjoy everything about it, especially my customers and colleagues. One of our regular customers even presented me with a beautiful flower to wear to the awards.”
Retail Director, Ramsay MacDonald, from Certas Energy, the largest supplier to independent fuel retailers in Britain said: “SuperStation acknowledges the flagbearers of our industry; grafters, visionaries and innovators who are setting new standards in forecourt retailing.
“Louise works tirelessly to provide customers with the highest possible standards of service; she is a credit to the Gulf brand and an inspiration to us all.”
