LEADING compressor and vacuum pump manufacturer Gardner Denver has raised more than £6,000 for Cancer Research UK after hosting a charity golf day with its distributor, supplier and sales network at Warwickshire Golf and Country Club.
With an aim of raising £4,000 for the charity, Gardner Denver exceeded this target by more than £2,000, raising £6,072 in total.
With 17 teams taking part it was Gardner Denver’s distributor Direct Air & Pipework Ltd that went on to claim first place.
Regional director Colin Mander said: “The event gave us the opportunity to further strengthen our relationships with our key distributor and supplier base, ensuring we could discuss the latest issues and challenges facing the compressed air industry. However, the main aim of the event was to raise money for a very worthy cause and we are thrilled to be able to write a cheque for more than £6,000 for Cancer Research UK.
“Finally, a big congratulations to Direct Air & Pipework Ltd, who scooped the first place prize on the day.”
