POLICE were called to Bridley Moor Road yesterday following concern for a woman’s welfare.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 10.10am on Tuesday (October 11) and West Midlands Ambulance Service treated a woman who was having difficulty breathing.

The woman was then taken to the Alex hospital where she was found to have no serious injuries.

Following rumours on social media about the police and ambulance activity near the Bridley Moor And Batchley Social Club, a spokesman for West Mercia Police said: “There is no evidence to suggest a crime has taken place.”
