Plans that could create up to 2,500 jobs are to be unveiled for the Redditch Gateway development at a public consultation on October 21 and 22.

Developer Stoford, working alongside two landowners, the Gorcott Estate and the Homes and Communities Agency, will be unveiling details of the proposed 75-acre employment site and carrying out public consultation ahead of the submission of a planning application later this year.

The public exhibition will take place close to the development site, at the Blue Inn Hotel, off Far Moor Lane (B98 0SD) on Friday, October 21 between 3pm and 8pm, and Saturday, October 22 between 11am and 3pm.

Members of the public are invited to drop in and learn more about the scheme, and leave feedback as part of consultation.

A website, with information about the scheme and an online feedback form, will also be live from October 14.

Alex Morgan, Director at Stoford, said: “The Redditch Gateway development provides an exciting opportunity to create up to 2,500 jobs and attract more business to the area, as well as the opportunity for existing local businesses to grow. We look forward to providing further details about the plans and speaking with local people at the public exhibition.”

Redditch Gateway, a project boosted by £1.8m in funding from Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (WLEP), will deliver approximately 85,000 sq m (915,000 sq ft) of new office and industrial space, creating up to 2,500 jobs.

The site is located close to the M40 and M42, with a drive time of just 20 minutes to Birmingham International Airport and railway station.
