A CALL has gone out for winter clothes from the Bromsgrove and Redditch Welcomes Refugees action group.
They are once again holding a collection at St Luke’s Church on Evesham Road, Headless Cross and the Jinnah Road Mosque this Saturday, November 5 from 2pm to 5pm.
They are appealing for jeans, joggers, long sleeved tops, waterproof trousers and winter jackets for both sexes as well as hats, gloves and scarves.
In addition they need new underwear plus socks in good condition and for women, bras in sizes 28-36, A-C.
For all clothes sizes need to be small to medium (no large or extra large.
Food is also needed – teabags, tinned fish, tomatoes, kidney beans, chickpeas, oil, spices, biscuits and also old mobile phones.
The goods will go to refugees currently in the now scattered camps in northern France and to those facing a bitter winter in northern Greece.
