NOVEMBER 13 will see the last of Jack Blackman’s Tuery Sessions of 2016 featuring two more of the best in UK folk and roots music performing at The Cross Keys, Alcester.
Dan Hartland’s brand of singer-songwriter rootsiness ranges from gentle acoustic picking to the robust influences of early rock ‘n’ roll, his observational, confessional style offers a potent mix of intelligence and soul.
Having supported the likes of Mark Olson, Kim Richey, Lisbee Stainton, Joan As Policewoman and Foy Vance amongst others – Dan is a dynamic and engaging stage presence.
Also playing will be Carrick, a modern acoustic duo comprised of Caroline and Rick who are well established on the Midlands acoustic scene.
Carrick use a wide variety of instruments to perform acoustic versions of well known songs from the 70s to the present day. Their arrangements include their own unique twist on familiar numbers promising songs performed like you’ve never heard them before.
Both Caroline and Rick add vocals and harmonies along with their wide range of instruments (guitar, mandocello, tenor guitar, flute, cajon, bodhran, ukelele bass and fiddle) producing a varied sound that keeps you interested and entertained for a whole evening.
Music will start at 6pm and there will also be the now regular raffle and jam session to finish.
