Call for Redditch champions to promote business in the borough

Ross Crawford 9th Nov, 2016   0

A NEW initiative is set to be launched to engage business leaders in promoting and investing in north Worcestershire.

Thriving firms in Redditch, Bromsgrove and the Wyre Forest will be urged to become ‘Ambassadors’ for the area, encouraging new businesses to grow or relocate in the region.

The scheme is the brainchild of North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration (NWedR), which is responsible for promoting and enabling growth and sustainable development in the region.

It is being launched on Thursday, November 24 at Hogarths Stone Manor Hotel in Kidderminster, where the guest speaker will be award-winning entrepreneur Emma Heathcote-James, founder of Little Soap Company.

Dean Piper, Head of Economic Development and Regeneration at NWedR, said: “Our ambassadors, themselves success stories, will highlight what’s great about north Worcestershire through events, social media, news stories and networking to help businesses that are thinking of relocating to the area understand what it’s really like to be based here.”

Firms can become ambassadors for free, choosing a number of ways to take part – including sharing their success stories with NWedR, which would then share them on its website and social media channels.
