A PAIR of apprentices from Redditch have created the trophies to be awarded to the 2016 Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards next week.
Nathan Sealey, a trainee technical draughtsman and Christopher Murray, a trainee engineer, from Heartbeat Manufacturing of Arthur Street, Redditch had the honour of making the awards at an event which will see more than 300 in attendance.
The awards have been organised by Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire County Council and will be hosted by winner of the first series of BBC’s The Apprentice, Tim Campbell MBE.
The evening will culminate in the two overall awards from all other winners: Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year award sponsored by Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd and the Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year award sponsored by Worcester Bosch Group.
Gary Woodman, Chief Executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “The apprentices at Heartbeat Manufacturing have done a fantastic job of creating the trophies for this year’s Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards and I look forward to celebrating all of the finalists and their achievements.
“I am confident that this year’s Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards will be even bigger and better than before and we are expecting another great celebration on 17 November.”
Representing Redditch in the finals is George Stephens of Mettis Aerospace in Windsor Road in the Advanced level apprentice of the year category sponsored by Ormerod Rutter Chartered Accountants.
