Redditch school springs into action to host county-wide Trampolining Competition

HUNDREDS of children from across the county visited Redditch this week with a real spring in their step.

On Wednesday (November 23) youngsters from 13 Worcestershire schools visited Tudor Grange Academy for the final of the Worcestershire Level 3 School Games Trampolining Competition.

Competitors from Tudor Grange were joined by others from Ridgeway Academy, St Augustine’s Catholic High, Woodrush High, Blessed Edward’s, Trinity High, RSA Academy Arrow Vale, Stourport High, School Baxter College, South Bromsgrove High, De Montford and Christopher Whitehead school, to battle it out for the top spot.

From 1pm, the teams took part in many different events, but Tudor Grange bagged the Bronze in the Intermediate Team Event, with Woodrush High School scooping the Silver and Stourport High going for Gold.




Head of PE at Tudor Grange, Alex Tranter said: “It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their talents alongside others in the county.

“When the venue fell through for the competition, we were more than happy to help and host the event. It was a great day and I hope the children all enjoyed themselves.


“We were delighted to welcome all the county’s students to our community here at Tudor Grange.”
