POLICE are appealing for information after a van containing two motocross bikes and a quantity of tools was stolen from a garage during an aggravated burglary in Alvechurch.

Just after 9pm on Friday (December 2) Police received a report that at the owner of a property on Redditch Road discovered four men dressed in dark clothing and balaclavas stealing his Ford Transit van, containing two motocross bikes – a red Honda 2004 model and a brand new 2017 KTM 150 Motocross – and a quantity of tools, including power tools.

The owner of the property disturbed the thieves and attempted to stop them from leaving in the van, but they kicked him and reversed over his foot as they made their gettaway.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw any of the men or the white van as it made off along Redditch Road, Alvechurch, in the direction of Birmingham.

“I would like to reassure the community that these sorts of incidents are rare. A thorough investigation is underway and patrols have also been stepped up in the area.
