‘EXPECT the Unexpected’ and discover some strange tales behind the Christmas story at St Stephen’s Church next week.
In a special interactive and family friendly exhibition local people are invited to pop in and go on a journey where they can discover more about a story which is so familiar yet which at the time was so unusual.
It’s all being help in one of the side chapels and is suitable for all ages.
“This year the experience is called ‘Expect the Unexpected’ and is an opportunity for all ages to explore the story of the first Christmas in a new and interactive way in a quiet and sacred space away from all the hustle and bustle of the run-up to Christmas,” said the Church’s Sarah Leeson.
The event runs from Wednesday (December 21) to Friday (December 23) from 10am to 3pm and all are welcome before culminating in a special ‘crib service’ at 3pm on Christmas Eve, December 24, with children encouraged to come dressed as shepherds, angels, stars or sheep.
