SIXTH form students from Redditch have been working hard to help keep young people who have recently become homeless warm and fed this winter.
The Trinity Sixth Form students collected and delivered a large amount of long-life food to St Basil’s charity this week, to help 18-24 year-olds in the Redditch community coping with homelessness.
The delivery of food stuffs, including tins, jars, pasta and soft-drinks was gratefully received by staff at St Basil’s and it will go towards helping the young people they offer assistance to.
St Basil’s have two supported accommodation schemes in St Georges, Redditch – one fully supported scheme for eight young people who have recently become homeless and a further semi-independent scheme for 16 young people who are working towards independent living.
