Police appeal after cyclist was seriously injured in Redditch hit and run

Police are appealing to the driver who hit and seriously injured a cyclist in Redditch on December 13 to come forward.

The cyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a car whose driver then failed to stop after the crash and police are still appealing for witnesses who may have seen the white or silver car after the hit and run incident which happened at around 5pm on Tuesday (December 13) on Sillins Avenue.

The car in question was last seen heading towards Studley Road.

The cyclist, a man in his sixties, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Alexandra Hospital, before being transferred to the Worcestershire Royal where he is being treated for fractures, head and internal injuries.




Officers conducted house to house enquiries following the collision and are currently examining debris recovered from the scene in efforts to trace the vehicle involved.

Police are appealing directly to the driver to make contact with them, as well as anyone in the area at the time who may have witnessed the collision.
