MORDIFORD Close in Winyates will be the latest to benefit under the borough council’s estate enhancement scheme.
Residents have been consulted on the proposals and work will start week from January 3, 2017 and is likely to last six to eight weeks.
Improvements will include resurfacing of parking areas and more landscaping.
There will also be improvements to the bin stores meaning that residents living in flats will be able to have an alternate weekly waste and recycling collection as opposed to the current once weekly collection.
Patching works in Kinnersley Close will take place at the same time to reduce disruption.
Councillor Debbie Chance, whose portfolio covers environmental services, said: “We hope that the improvements will help alleviate ongoing parking issues and make the area safer and more pleasant for the local community.
“It is an added bonus that as a result of these works the residents in this area can also have an improved waste collection service in line with the majority of the borough. We will aim to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
