THIS YEAR’S Lights of Love Christmas campaign has raised almost £35,000 for the Primrose Hospice.
For the campaign, residents remember a loved one who has passed away by dedicating a light to them on the Lights of Love tree in the Kingfisher Centre. As well as being an act of remembrance, it is also a celebration of life.
The 2016 total so far is £34,843, including gift aid – £3,000 more than last year.
Sandra Albright, the Primrose’s campaign fundraiser, thanked everyone who took part. “We know that remembering a loved one at Christmas makes a huge difference to people who are missing someone special at this time of year,” she said.
“Whilst we are not placing producing any more books for this year, you can still make a donation in memory of someone special and help us to provide the vital support that we offer to families.”
