A BARBER from Redditch has been shortlisted in a competition to be crowned the best wet shave barber in Britain.
Haider Alsosohaini of Bella Barba on Evesham Road, Crabbs Cross, will face razor sharp competition in his quest to be crowned the best.
Haidar, aged 31, will face-off against other top barbers in the West Midlands regional final in March 2017.
If he secures top spot in the heat he’ll bee through to the national final at the NEC in Birmingham in May.
“My passion for barbering began when I was 14,” said Haider.
“I regularly visited a family friend’s barbershop where I used to sit and watch the barbers cut and shave.
“One day I asked if I could try to cut hair. After the senior barber saw the haircut he was so impressed he decided to teach me barbering himself.”
Haider opened Bella Barba 11 years ago and since then has seen his dedication blossom into a thriving business.
“I wanted to create an establishment with an environment where men can come and feel special, get pampered, enjoy quality surroundings and feel totally relaxed and comfortable and I achieved that by opening Bella Barba.”
