REDDITCH Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspected road rage incident in Astwood Bank near Redditch.

At approximately 9.05am on Monday (December 12), a man in his 70s was driving along the Saltway Droitwich Road in a grey Jaguar XF when the vehicle in front of him stopped to turn right onto Edgioake Lane.

Whilst the vehicle in front was waiting to turn, the driver of it was involved in a verbal altercation with another driver in a grey Mercedes C220.

The man in the Jaguar beeped his horn at the two vehicles in front to encourage them to move along as they were blocking the road.

The vehicle in front then turned off onto Edgioake Lane, and the driver of the Mercedes then approached the Jaguar driver and punched him through the open vehicle window.

The Mercedes driver then left the scene.
