AFTER another frosty start to the day police in Redditch are pleading with motorists in Redditch to not leave their car unattended while it defrosts and warms up on cold mornings.
“When defrosting your car stay with it at all times,” said a local officer.
“It only take a few seconds for someone to take it and your insurance company may not pay out.
“Two drivers had left their vehicles unattended for a number of minutes on the morning of Wednesday, December 28 but luckily were seen by a local PCSO.
“The drivers were spoken to and given some crime prevention advice.”
Police are also pleading with motorists to make sure their windows and windscreen are fully defrosted and they have clear vision before setting following reports of drivers just making a ‘hole’ in the frost to see out.
