IT’S a well-known superstition that Friday 13th brings bad luck. But staff at the Dogs Trust are hoping that it will be a lucky day to find loving homes for three overlooked dogs in their care.
The Wickhamford-based rehoming centre is appealing to local people to open their homes and hearts to Greyhound Flynn, and Lurchers Radcliff and Bart who have yet to find loving new homes.
Staff are baffled as to why they are being overlooked but are hoping that fate will be on their side on one of the unluckiest days of the year and they will defy the odds to finally find the loving homes they deserve.
All of the dogs have different needs but the one thing they all have in common is that they are looking to reserve their spot on the sofa in the home of a special someone. All three are currently enjoying life in their foster homes, but have their paws crossed that a home to call their own will be on the cards this Friday 13th.
Chris Slight, rehoming centre manager said: “It’s such a shame that these three have been overlooked so far, but we’re confident we’ll find homes for them soon. Despite the superstition that Friday 13th brings bad luck, we’re really hoping potential new owners will put any superstitions to one side and consider rehoming one of these super dogs.
“Not only will you be offering a four-legged friend a happy home, but you will be gaining a new best friend. We don’t see what’s so unlucky about that!”
