NEARLY 5,000 people in Worcestershire have signed a 38 Degrees petition calling for increased NHS funding and a thorough investigation into corridor deaths at the Royal Worcestershire A&E.
Worcestershire resident John Allen, a member of campaign group 38 Degrees, started the petition.
He is calling on Prime Minister Theresa May and Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt to increase NHS funding immediately.
There has been a spiralling NHS funding crisis across the country, where specialist wards, A&Es and hospital beds have been facing cutbacks and closure. The situation has become particularly acute in Worcestershire, where the local NHS faces a £166 million funding gap over the next four years.
