POLICE are on the hunt for information about two men who threw a large piece of wood onto a road in Redditch this week.
On Sunday (January 15) at approximately 12:15pm two young men threw a large piece of tree trunk from the Birchfield Road overpass onto the A448, causing damage to cars on the road.
The piece of tree trunk damaged a lorry carrying a horse box and superficially damaged a Seat Toledo Sport, although there were no injuries.
Two young men were seen to have left the area on foot heading into the Pitcher Oak Woods area.
A police spokesperson said: “We would like to take this opportunity to convey the serious nature and potential to cause significant harm for these types of incidents. Throwing or dropping any item from an overpass onto a fast flowing road can cause significant damage to vehicles and to those inside them.”
“Thankfully on this occasion no one was injured.”
