IMAGINATIONS were in overdrive at a Redditch school this week with entries to design a dream car fueling creativity.
Students at Woodfield Academy entered the national Toyota “Design a Dream Car” competition – and talented Year 8 pupil Evelien Mackness was award a regional prize for her efforts.
The competition asked youngsters to use their imagination to produce an idea for their ultimate dream car – which for the purposes of the contest, would be capable of doing anything they wanted it to.
Before the entries were sent off, the school was visited by the team from Toyota Bromsgrove who judged them and they were impressed with quality of the schoolwork.
A spokesperson for the school said: “We had some excellent entries which showed students creativity and imagination and we are thrilled that one of our pupils was awarded a regional prize.
“A huge well done and good luck to Evelien and also to all students who entered.”
Year 8 pupil Evelien Mackness, designed a car to make people happy, while also being able to ‘shapeshift’ and by running on waste materials to make it environmentally friendly.
