POLICE are investigating after thieves attacked a man in his own home before stealing car keys, cash and jewellery.
Last Monday (23 January) at about 6.50pm, a 37-year-old man was at his home in Tutnall Lane when he heard noises and opened the door to be confronted by two men in high visibility clothing.
The man was assaulted and the thieves stole keys to a BMW series 7 car, cash and jewellery. The car, which was on the drive at the time, was not stolen.
One of the criminals is a white man, about six feet tall and of slim build who was wearing a yellow, high visibility long-sleeved body warmer and trousers, a blue and white bandana and white gloves.
The second man was white, about 5ft 6ins tall, stocky build with stubble on his face. He was wearing orange high-visibility trousers, a grey hooded top with the hood pulled tight around his face and white gloves.
Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or vehicles in the locality yesterday afternoon or evening, or has any information which would help with their enquiries.
