WORDPLAY was on the timetable for some Redditch students this week when an award winning poet paid them a visit.
Poet Spoz popped in to Beoley First School on Tuesday (January 31) to work with all the year groups on some British Values Poetry Workshops and to spread the word of creativity.
The older children composed their own rhyming couplets to create a poem about their thoughts on ‘British values’ and the younger ones created some poetry through song.
Katie Sweeney, Deputy Head said “All the children had an amazing day and were thoroughly inspired by Spoz.
“His workshops enabled them to create some fantastic pieces of poetry and they loved sharing their work with the rest of the school at the end of the day.”
